Some Making 6 Figures on YouTube

The New York Times recently ran an article featuring Michael Buckley of ‘What the Buck’, a YouTube based show that reportedly makes over $100,000 a year.
According to Buckley, all he needed was a $2,000 Canon camera, a $6 piece of fabric for a backdrop and a pair of work lights from Home Depot .
The interesting comment came from a YouTube spokesperson who told the Times hundreds of people make thousands of dollars per month. And even Buckley said it took him working 40 hours a week for over a year without making a dime to build his audience.
Translation: YouTube is a very hard road.
